In my dream, I dreamt that I was in choma, mochipapa, at our old house. There I had my old primary school friends over (Lweendo Habbuno, Maliko), Emmanuel & Chanda. Then we could see some meteors rushing through the sky...the 1st 2 wisked by but the 3rd one was big, huge and a lot closer to the ground surface. We could see how big this was...when it passed by across the sky we were under, it stopped at a particular distance and turned back to change course, as though it were looking for a place to land...it then landed across the gravel road in a slightly bushy area. The crash land was loud and as kids, we rushed and tried to see what kind of materials it contained. At this point, I could see that 2 other friends from high school were with us as well (Hachiyo & Mambwe). We got excited and as I rushed to the crush site, everyone could comment that the pieces of stone could spark up the moment they collided against each other. The meteor stone pieces were still fresh hot as a result of air resistance and friction. Now, as we collected some pieces in excited, some pieces felt really hot but we eventually managed to get them and take some back to my place, where we hid them to avoid being questioned by the police (we suspected that such an event would attract the police)....I also remember that while we looked for a place to hide the meteor pieces, Hannah, one of the helpers from my primary school days was also part of my dream. (Hannah stayed with us the longest and became family until she left years later and returned to her family). This is the dream I had. Also, some meteor pieces resembled crystallized rock sea salt that glittered a light orange-reddish mixture of colour, which appeared attractive to us as kids
Dreams often weave together various elements of our subconscious, reflecting our experiences, emotions, and memories. This dream, rich with imagery and emotion, suggests several layers of meaning.
Setting: Choma, Mochipapa, and the Old House Your dream begins in a familiar place from your past, which likely signifies a sense of nostalgia and comfort. The old house represents not just your childhood but also the memories and friendships that have shaped your identity. The inclusion of your primary school friends suggests a desire to reconnect with your youthful self and the friendships that defined that time in your life.
Meteor Show Meteors often symbolize sudden insights, revelations, or transformative events. Seeing meteors rush across the sky can indicate a sense of urgency or excitement about changes occurring in your life, both personally and socially. The first two meteors whisking by could represent fleeting opportunities or insights that have come and gone without significantly affecting you. The third, larger meteor that changes course and lands nearby symbolizes a major change or significant event heading your way that you are more consciously aware of.
Crushing the Meteor The crash landing of the meteor, coupled with the excitement it generates among you and your friends, represents the potential for discovering something valuable or transformative from this incoming change. The noise of the impact could signify that this change is loud and disruptive, prompting you and your friends to explore and confront it.
Collecting Meteor Pieces As you and your friends collect pieces of the meteor, it reflects your eagerness to grasp and hold onto opportunities, insights, or even responsibilities that come your way. These pieces resembling crystallized rock sea salt that spark and shine may symbolize the beauty and potential within these new experiences. However, the heat of these pieces could represent the intensity or pressure associated with these changes—a sign that, while exciting, they may also involve risks or challenges that could burn you if not handled carefully.
Hiding the Meteor Pieces The act of hiding these meteor pieces to avoid questioning from the police indicates a sense of guilt, fear, or apprehension about what you are exploring or claiming in your life. This could reflect a hesitation to fully embrace the changes or situations you are encountering, perhaps worrying about the judgment of society or authority. It suggests a struggle between the excitement of discovery and the fear of repercussions.
Inclusion of Hachiyo, Mambwe, and Hannah The presence of high school friends and Hannah—who was a significant figure in your early life—highlights the importance of community and support in your personal growth. Their appearances suggest that, while you navigate these transitions and opportunities, you value the input and companionship of those who have been with you throughout your journey.
Conclusion Overall, your dream illustrates a powerful journey through nostalgia, transformation, and the excitement coupled with anxiety of embracing change. It encourages you to reflect on your current life circumstances, the new opportunities that are arising, and how you can navigate them without shying away from the excitement they hold. It also serves as a reminder to cherish the support from friends and loved ones as you step into new phases of your life.
